Reading Log Information: Student's who have not met their AR goal, for the previous quarter is required to keep track of their reading on a log. This log is homework. Students should read a minimum of 5 pages each day. If they do not complete the log, they will receive a HINAO detention.
Student's must practice a skill if they are to improve. Reading is an essential skill that impacts the rest of your student's education. I can't stress the importance of consistent reading practice enough.
Current Classwork: Student's are currently reading and studying the novel Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt Story Summary: Winnie Foster is bored and unhappy with the lack of adventure in her life. She decides to run away one day, but decides to go no further than her backyard. Little does Winnie know that their is a lot of adventure waiting in the woods behind her house. Winnie happens upon a family and a spring, both of which have the ability to change her life forever. 6th Grade Resource Language Class
We are currently working on language and literacy skills using the Language! The Comprehensive Literacy Curriculum.
We review grammar skills weekly using Drops in the Bucket grammar and editing practice.
Student's in 6th Grade Resource Language are completing spelling homework in the Everyday Spelling Grade 6 book. They can practice weekly words by visiting and logging into their Spelling City account.
